The Cape Town Cycle Tour is the largest timed cycle race in the world. Attracting some 40 000 participants from across the globe. It is a tour around the Cape peninsula starting in the city centre (downtown) passing through the southern suburbs of Rondebosch, Wynberg, Constantia, Kalk Bay, Simonstown, Kommetjie, Noordhoek then up and over Chapmans Peak into Hout Bay over the famous Suikerbossie Climb into Llundudno, Camps Bay, Sea Point and finishing in Green Point.
The Tour of Good Hope has recently been introduced into the professional cycling calendar in South Africa. Previously known as the Report Tour. It attracts the local professional teams and elite amateur cyclist from across South Africa. Encompassing five days of clover leaf racing in this wonderful location of the Paarl/Franschhoek valley.
